In Memory......of our Beloved Companions
waiting for us at The Rainbow Bridge
I live among God’s creatures now, in the heavens of your mind
So do not grieve for me, my friend for I am with my kind.
My collar is a rainbow’s hue, my leash a shooting star
My boundaries are the Milky Way where I sparkle from afar.
I nap the day on a snowy cloud, gentle breezes rocking me
And dream the dreams of Earthlings and how it used to be.
The trees are full of liver treats and tennis balls abound
And Milk bones line the walkways just waiting to be found
I drink from waters laced with gold my world a beauty to behold
And wise old dogs do form my pride to amble at my very side
At night I sleep in an angel’s arms, her wings protecting me
And moonbeams dance about us as stardust falls on thee
So when your life on earth is spent, and you stand at Heaven’s gate
Have no fear of loneliness for here, you know I wait

“Dynamic Black Max” the ad read when we first saw him online… he was that and more. Although he owned Michelle from day one, in time he came to own Todd, too. Max is greatly missed by Michelle and Todd and leaves an empty space in our home and our hearts; Phoenix (GSD rescued 2006) is still trying to understand where her buddy has gone. Max filled the emptiness left by the loss of Michelle’s Duchess and although we were not his first love, I believe he came to love us as much as we loved him. Someday I look forward to seeing him at the Rainbow Bridge playing ball and running without pain once more.
Until then,
Todd, Michelle & Phoenix
Shilo Schaeffer/Miller - April 19 1998 - Dec. 26, 2008As far as Shilo is concerned, really the only thing that needs to be said is how awesome of a best-friend she was for 10 1/2 years, how dearly loved she was, and that we miss her so much it still hurts to think and talk about her. Shilo was born on April 19, 1998, and died on December 26, 2008 after a massive stroke. She was really a fighter for the 2 1/2 years she battled Cushing's Disease. I have had a number of German Shepherds in my life time, and all of them have touched my life in different ways, but none of them touched my life the way Shilo did, her and I just had a very special bond, and I miss that. - Vickie Schaeffer

Major was my best friend and most loyal companion for almost eleven years. He was the most gentle dog with people, but I always knew he would protect me in an instant if I needed it. Major was happy when I was happy, sad when I was sad, and dependable to the end. He was taken from me so suddenly by lung cancer earlier this year and our house hasn’t been the same since. There will never be another dog like my “Bubba!” I will miss you always and forever!
Love, Mommy (Nathan, Mindy, Spook, Squirt, & Bam)

Mom, Ashlyn, Anja and Storm.
Ottley Dukesherer: 1995 - 2007Ottley was a most handsome and noble boy, took great care of his family Elizabeth, Dan and Noah and Corgi brother Galen. He lived a grand long life, loved to play ball, and - oh my – those EARS!
